Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome bloggers @ The Broke and the Bookish.
I hope you guys had an awesome weekend! This week's theme is Top Ten Bookish/Blogging Resolutions. HA! We aren't done with resolutions yet, apparently. Anyway, I'm sure you have a list as long as your TBR, just like me, but top ten...Here we go:
BOOKISH RESOLUTIONS:
1. I want to read more non-fiction. No, I won't review them, just actually read them!
2. Read more historical stuff. I'm not much of a history person, but if I had to read it on my own, I might actually read it.
3. Get my TBR under control. I have a little under 300 books on my TBR at the moment, I want to get that down to a little under 100.
4. Get more books on my shelf. I mostly get books from the library, I'd like to get a bigger shelf selection =)
5. Read books from more debut authors.
BLOGGING RESOLUTIONS:
6. Comment on people's blogs. I follow 100+ blogs, but don't comment very often. I'd like to change that.
7. Meet more book bloggers. I love talking to you all on Twitter and you guys welcomed me in your "circles" with open arms, I love ya guys!
8. Post more exciting posts. AKA: More things about what famous authors are writing or up to, cover releases, etc..
9. Stay caught up with reviews. I get so far behind sometimes, but gradually, you guys are helping me catch up :)
10. Sign-up on people's blogs via e-mail.
There, 5 bookish resolutions and 5 blogging resolutions. I hope ya'll are happy. :P
So, what are your goals for this year?
MAKE SURE TO LEAVE YOUR LINK IN THE COMMENTS SO I CAN COME SEE YOUR'S TOO!

I have commenting on blogs on my list too! It's something that I really need to do much more of, considering how many blogs I read!
ReplyDelete@igirl2manybooks - I think a lot of people do, I read the blogs, but usually don't comment. Something to work on, I guess!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'd keep a TBR list but the thought of it growing out of control keeps me content with accidentally forgetting to hunt down interesting books. I wouldn't want to feel..intimidated by a list of my own making!
ReplyDelete@smellincoffee - See? Should have just stuck with what I had going before - being listless. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck now!
ReplyDeleteLove the list!
ReplyDeleteI also want to keep up with my commenting on others blogs, and meet new people
I love to have people comment on my blog. So I try to visit ten blogs a week and comment.
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Here's my list of Top Ten Bookish, Bloggish Resolutions.
Best of luck girl!
ReplyDeleteBrandi from Blkosiner’s Book Blog
@Niecole - Glad to know I'm not the only one!
ReplyDelete@Deb - That's a good strategy. I might have to try that :D
@Brandi - Thanks so much, Brandi!
You are the first person I have seen who actually wants to have MORE books, lol! Good luck with everything!
ReplyDelete@Hilde - Figures. Am I the only one who is good about not buying books??? xP
ReplyDeleteHannah, I'm certainly not very good at it. ;) But I live in a very samll flat, so sooner or later I have to stop buying and start going to the library instead. That is one of the reasons I love my Kindle. :)
ReplyDelete@Hilde - It's a good reason too!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine http://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2011/01/top-ten-tuesday-top-10-bookish.html
ReplyDeleteI stopped by and left a comment, TBM!
ReplyDeleteI need to get my TBR pile under control as well!
ReplyDelete@Music4Betty - Glad to know I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteI also need to work on commenting more. Sometimes I just feel like I'm repeating what previous commenters have said though. But I know that everyone loves to receive feedback!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting your resolutions!
Jen at The Broke and the Bookish
Ahhh, historical fiction! I generally refuse to read it, but my friend is basically forcing me to read Revolution by Jennifer Donnely, so I'm actually giving it a try. So far it is not historical at all so maybe it's a good way to ease me into the genre :)
ReplyDelete@Shayn - WOW. Really?? I heard someone complaining about it being too historical for them. I've been wanting to read it though. I'm glad to hear your liking it!
ReplyDelete@Jen - Me too. It gets kind of sad how little I comment :/ Talk to you later Jen!
